Sit back and admire the changing landscape.
Afternoon tea is a long-running British tradition, dating back to the early 18th century when it was used to bridge the gap between the two main meals of the day, lunch and dinner. Today, the custom remains an extremely popular pursuit, enacted in tea rooms, hotels and households across the country….. and on the larger of our two boats, Richmond.
Scones with jam and cream, dainty finger sandwiches, tasty sweet treats and lots of tea equals heaven for many Brits! All of this is included on our afternoon tea cruise which takes around 2 hours and includes a choice of tea or coffee. The canal is a beautiful retreat close to the city, easily accessible by public transport.
You can enjoy the reflections on the water and the unique views of the cathedral and South Downs as you glide past the wild flowers and reed beds. Watch out for herons, kingfishers in their natural habitat.
