Blossom, flowers and new wildlife in abundance
The Canal is brimming over with new chicks and cygnets as well as blossom and Spring flowers. The air is filled with scents and birdsong; it really is quite beautiful.
We must thank our amazing “armchair army” of Canal users, who have sent us an astonishing 255 photos since 1 January. We know you love to take photos of the Canal, but to take the time to upload or download pictures from your phones, tablets and cameras takes time. Many have submitted these with lovely messages as well. So thank you all.
But there’s one local resident who has really gone the extra mile. Sue Shattock, who lives very close by, has filmed a stunning video that captures Spring at the Canal perfectly. You can watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohzfEkgdyCg In just 24 hours, it has had over 1500 views on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. So thank you very much Sue.
You can keep up to date with our many photos on social media by clicking on one of the little icons at the top of the page. There is just so much to see.
