Rowing is fun and relaxing and a great way to spend a sunny afternoon or get some exhilarating exercise. A leisurely row from Chichester to Donnington and back will take about two hours. Every member of the family will enjoy the experience and be able to take a turn.
Enjoy uninterrupted and unique views from the canal. Take in the abundance of wildflowers and reed beds as you pass by, and if you’re lucky you might see herons and kingfishers in their natural habitat. Our rowing boats will seat up to 4 adults or 2/3 adults and 2 small children. The larger family boat can carry up to 6 people.
Well behaved dogs may be taken on the rowing boats but please ensure that they and your passengers are well controlled when passing swans, cygnets, ducklings and coot chicks etc.

Rowing Boat Hire Prices
Rowing boats are available for hire from the Canal Cafe between 09:00 am and 16:00 pm 7 days a week.
The last hire is 1 hour prior to closing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The minimum age of the hirer is 18. The hirer is deemed to be responsible for the conduct of the passengers during the hire period. Forward bookings are available.
