Raindrops keep falling on my head!
Oh dear, it couldn’t have been much wetter over Easter, but it didn’t stop our wonderful customers from filling every special Bunny boat trip. Our lovely bunnies have now hopped back to their burrows to dry off, but if you missed them this year, we hope to invite them back next Easter. We loved having them with us and they enjoyed it too. They even wrote to us short note…
“Hi, We hope everyone had a lovely Easter and a fun time on the boat trips with us at Chichester Canal! See you next year, love from the Easter Bunnies xxxx”
The weather presented a real challenge to our volunteers this year…. not least our skippers and mates getting soaked driving the boats and cabin crew getting wet fetching and carrying goodies and crockery from the boats. But the whole event would not be possible without a number of volunteers, including bunny chauffeurs to drive them to Hunston three times a day, bunny minders to make sure they were safe on the pontoon, boat decorators, shop volunteers and not forgetting our back office staff involved in marketing, bookings, IT etc. The list is endless!
We would also like to thank our Easter provision suppliers, including Spires bakery for bunny lunches, Lizzies for mini gingerbread biscuits made especially for our trips, Tesco for rather a lot of hot cross buns and Runcton Farm for their beautiful daffodils.
We hope that our customers had a great time and enjoyed the entertainment.
