Works nearing completion
The Canal Trust is very grateful for the tolerance shown by the users of the towpath to the west of Hunston where work has been continuing to repair the tramway crossing and the winding hole banks. The Trust acknowledges the inevitable mud that this contract has caused. This work, which will ensure that there will be no need to undertake further work at these positions for many years, should be completed by around 22 February.
Work has also now started on the last part of the contract to repair 20 metres of bank at the bend at the Hunston jetty and this should be completed at a similar time
.
The Trust is grateful to Cain Bioengineering for the work they have undertaken. Photos can be seen at http://www.cainbioengineering.co.uk/canals of the work the company carried out 7 years ago and how the bank has grown since then.
All work should be completed by 25 February.
