The Canal Centre offers a wide range of amenities to local residents and visitors. Located at the Canal Basin, the Centre is easily accessible by public transport.  Refreshments, souvenirs, educational/tourist information and boat trips are available.

This is one of the most beautiful locations in the city centre to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. The cafe also offers hot and cold light refreshments, ice creams and confectionery. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, both with good views of the activities in the Basin.

The shop and cafe are manned by volunteers who are always happy to provide information on the Canal Trust and its activities. They will take rowing boat bookings and same day reservations for the scheduled daily Kingfisher boat trips. There are also tourist information leaflets, local produce and souvenirs available.

On Sunday afternoons, Chichester Model Boat Club meets at the canal basin.

Adjacent to the shop and cafe is the Visitor Centre. This is located in a 19th century old stable which has been refurbished to provide information about the canal and its history. Canal users and local schools appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the canal and view artefacts recovered during excavation works.

Free Wifi and free car parking are available for visitors.
