Lifting of restrictions
In the light of the latest government announcements lifting many restrictions, we are pleased to confirm the following:
As per recent months, we will open our Cafe daily, offering a wide range of drinks, food and gifts. We will also be re-opening our upstairs eating area to customers to provide more space to enjoy your refreshments.
A number of our volunteers wish to continue to wear masks and we have retained the Perspex screens in our serving areas. Government guidance encourages mask wearing although it is now a personal choice. We encourage you to wear your face coverings while being served by our volunteers. We thank you for your continued support and patience to help protect our volunteers in the Cafe serving area.
We will operate our scheduled boat trips at a reduced capacity of 16 for the time being, ensuring a little more space for passengers. In common with many “transport” companies, we require mask wearing / face coverings for all passengers.
New bookings for catered trips remain “on hold” while we endeavour to service a large 2020 backlog of paid bookings.
We look forward to continuing to welcome you to enjoy all that the Canal Trust has to offer in these coming months. Photo: Meryn Woodland
