Application of gov instructions to the Canal

We appreciate our towpath and waterway are inviting open spaces, particularly with the current sunshine. We urge all Canal users to continue to act responsibly and wisely and follow the most recent Government instructions:

– You may leave your home for only very limited and essential purposes such as to shop for food and medicines, to care for a relative
– Exercise may be taken once a day, alone or with members of your household – walking, cycling or running were mentioned
– Avoid gatherings of two or more people (not including your immediate family)
– Do not meet or socialise with friends or family who you do not live with

As the Cafe is closed at present, we are not able to process licence applications or renewals. Please direct any queries to boxoffice@nullchichestercanal.com and we will do our best to help.

As per the government announcement on 23 March, these instructions will remain in place until further notice.
