Historical talk aboard Richmond

As part of our bicentennial anniversary celebrations, we’re joined by Alan Green, local author and historian, for an evening cruise on board Richmond. This takes place on Wednesday, 29th June, starting at 7pm. After drinks are served, Alan will introduce us to some of the characters and events of the canal as we gently cruise along the historic waterway.

With a pause at Hunston to admire the famous Turner view (photo credit: Holly Bateson), on the return leg you’ll be served light refreshments of cheese and biscuits, and a chance to ask Alan questions informally as we return to Chichester. You’ll also be able to go up on deck and admire the scenery from quite a unique vantage point.

Setting sail at 7pm gives a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the canal on a quiet evening, and learn more about the history of this fascinating and secret waterway.
