Family fun day
We are holding a Fun Day on Wednesday 26th July at Chichester Canal Basin from 10 am to 3pm. This event is suitable for youngsters aged up to 11. Do come and join us.
Bring the children for a day out by the canal; no pre- booking is required. Children can have fun playing games such as hop scotch, skipping, quoits and hula hoops outside the Canal Heritage Centre. Inside the Centre, we will be making sun glasses, visors and there will be opportunities to decorate masks. Children can also do drawing, colouring and word searches. We provide all necessary craft materials and the children can take home their creations.
We will run the event with all activities in the Centre whatever the weather. Our volunteer helpers will be on hand to help with the activities, but a parent, guardian or adult friend needs to stay as well.
Drop in for a short time, or stay for longer. If the weather is fine, have a picnic by the canal. Take a walk along the canal bank and see the wildlife. See how big the cygnets are now and look for baby ducks. Watch the boats and paddle boarders go by. Drinks, snacks and ice creams are available to buy at the cafe.
