Parking and water activity restrictions

Notice to Canal Basin visitors

On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th, Chichester District Council will be staging a laser show across the Canal Basin, along with street food stalls. These events start at 5pm.

However, set up will begin early on the 17th and “clear up” will conclude in the morning of the 19th.

For health and safety reasons, we ask that you do not park at the Basin from the evening of 16th until c 12 noon on 19th.
Similarly, we will be restricting water-based activity, eg paddleboards, kayaks during the same time period. If you hold a water-based licence, you are of course welcome to enjoy the lower section of the canal, launching from the Hunston pontoon.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and hope that many of you can join us (shoreside!) for this exciting event.
