Dealing with drugs
In February, a task force was created including CDC, WSCC, resident associations, parish councils, police and the Canal Trust, to adress the issue of drug supply and use along the banks of the canal. A community warden has now been employed to walk along the canal and talk with the young people involved. A youth worker is also in situ to liaise with schools.
All parties are monitoring the situation and we hope that most of the benches will be back in place following a task force meeting in July.
We thank you for your patience and hope that this issue is resolved as soon as possible.
