Walking the towpath

Please help us to help you

We welcome dog walkers along the Canal towpath, but please can we remind you…..

– To keep your dog on a lead, however well behaved your pet might be
– To discourage your dog from entering the water. At this time of year, many of the wildlife are nesting and swans, in particular, can be highly protective of their unborn
– To collect and dispose of dog faeces from the towpath and its surrounds.

Thank you for your understanding. Chichester Ship Canal Trust is run by volunteers who do their best to keep the towpath clear. At present we are further restricted by Covid-19 instructions.

Do help us to maintain the Canal to be enjoyed by all.
